All measurements will be made with a flexible
steel tape and recorded to the nearest 1/16 inch. Calipers or a
"skull" box are recommended to aid in measurements.
Greatest Length (L) is determined by
measuring the distance of the long axis of the skull (without lower jaw),
excluding any deformations and teeth..
This is a strait line measurement, do
not place measurement tape on skull or bend tape to match skull contour.
Greatest Width (W) is determined by
measuring the width at the widest point on the short axis of the skull,
excluding any deformations.
This is a strait line measurement, do
not place measurement tape on skull or bend tape to match skull
contour.
All adhering flesh, membrane, hide, etc
must be completely removed for a period of 60 days prior to scoring.
No skull will be considered for scoring
which has been altered in any way from its natural state.
